This small company of DJs, under the name Laughing Gravy, realized they catered mostly to weddings and wanted a rebrand that better angled toward the wedding photographer and venue style of branding.
This small company of DJs, under the name Laughing Gravy, realized they catered mostly to weddings and wanted a rebrand that better angled toward the wedding photographer and venue style of branding.
The client and I met to pin down some of the styles she liked. From our initial meeting, I focused on basic shapes with handwritten/calligraphic fonts to create the first round of logo options.
I played with many font options and we landed on helleny for the full company title. A lot of samples included the photographer or venue initials and we used Lato for the icon text.Â
The client preferred a stand alone icon to use as a sticker so we removed the semi circle option. She also loved the triangles. We made some adjustments and landed on the thicker, double triangle above Helleny text.
Instead of adding any color, we chose the sleek black and white options to accompany their existing site styling that they wanted to keep.
We ended with business cards, brochures, and a standing banner. All of these assets go next to the DJ setup while they're working the dance floors.
